CPI Security is saluting those who risk their lives to protect others at the annual CPI Security First Responders Appreciation Breakfast in Raleigh on Friday, Sept. 24.
CPI Security is returning as the presenting sponsor of the First Responders Appreciation Breakfast, hosted by the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, at the Raleigh Convention & Performing Arts Center.
“First responders are at the heart of all of our communities. Because of the nature of our business, we see firsthand the heroism they exemplify every time they clock in. We hope they know just how thankful we are for their sacrifices.”
CPI Security CEO and Founder, Ken Gill
CPI Security’s Chief Government and Community Relations Officer Kerr Putney will deliver opening remarks to first responders in attendance. As the former Chief of Police for the City of Charlotte, Putney will speak about his personal connection to the policing profession. He will also thank first responders for their sacrifice and service on behalf of CPI Security.
Following Putney’s remarks, the following agencies will be honored for their service:
- Wake County Emergency Medical Services
- Wake County Sheriff’s Office
- Raleigh-Wake County Emergency Communications Center
- City of Raleigh Fire Department
- City of Raleigh Police Department
- C. Highway Patrol
- North Carolina Department of Public Safety, Division of Emergency Management

A portion of the proceeds from the breakfast will benefit The 200 Club of Wake County, a nonprofit that provides financial assistance for the spouse and children of local first responders who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
