CPI Security is partnering with the Charlotte Knights to host the third-annual Safe at Home Play Ball! Baseball Clinic at Truist Field on Tuesday, August 8. CPI and the Charlotte Knights will welcome more than 50 kids from the Police Activities League (PAL) and the Carolina Metro Reds to the camp on Tuesday. On Wednesday, campers will watch the Charlotte Knights take on the Gwinnett Stripers.
“It’s always been CPI’s goal to provide new opportunities and experiences to our youth,” CEO and Founder of CPI Security Ken Gill said. “Hosting this camp with the Charlotte Knights has been a highlight of our partnership and a great way for kids to start their summer break.”
During camp, Charlotte Knights players will lead drills, Homer the Dragon will make a visit, and campers will have lunch in the Home Plate Club.
Led by former MLB player Coach Morris Madden, the Carolinas Metro Reds’ mission is to provide a safe opportunity for underserved youth to develop baseball and life skills, advance academically, and grow socially in a family environment.
Since 1968, the Police Activities League of Charlotte has been offering academic and athletic programs to children in Mecklenburg County. Led by CMPD officers, PAL’s mission is to provide access and opportunities to young people through programs and initiatives that create lifestyle advances.
