CPI Security partnered with the Steele Creek YMCA for the summer to provide campers with new opportunities. Throughout the summer, campers visited the CPI Security campus and other locations in Charlotte for learning activities and some summer fun!
Basketball at CPI
To kick off the summer partnership, CPI hosted the campers for a day on the basketball court. They performed drills, pick-up basketball games, and more on CPI’s outdoor basketball court. They finished the day with a delicious lunch provided by CPI’s in-house café.
Baseball at Truist Field
For the fourth consecutive year, CPI hosted campers at Truist Field for a day of baseball at the park. CPI welcomed nearly 50 campers from the Steele Creek YMCA and the Morrison YMCA to Truist Field for a day of baseball. But rather than watching the Charlotte Knights, the campers got to take to the field themselves!
They joined the Charlotte Knights, learning the fundamentals and going back to the basics of baseball. The day ended with lunch in the clubhouse and autographs from the players.
Cupcake Wars
To finish up the summer, campers from the Steele Creek YMCA visited CPI’s campus for some friendly competition; Cupcake wars! The kids broke up into two groups, while one group learned about taste buds, the other group decorated cupcakes.
CPI Security is committed to giving back to the communities it serves, and this is just another way CPI is doing so. We hope the kids had just as much fun as we did this summer, and we wish them the best of luck this school year!
