An update from CPI on our COVID-19 response

CPI Security is designated by the Department of Homeland Security as an Essential Critical Infrastructure company and remains fully functioning to serve our customers and protect our communities. We continue to provide our customers with 24/7 professional security, fire, and life safety monitoring and services while prioritizing our employees’ health and safety.

We are following health and safety protocols from federal, state, and local authorities, and we continue to adapt and update our practices and policies.

CPI is protecting our team so we can serve you.

As an essential service, CPI is closely monitoring and following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and protect all employees and customers. We will continue to update our procedures and practices accordingly.

These are some of the additional steps we have taken to protect our team and our customers:

  • Health Monitoring and Temperature Check: We conduct comprehensive health monitoring, including a daily temperature screen, for all employees. Our monitoring includes enforcing strict policies and following health protocols regarding potential exposure, symptom reporting, and quarantining.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): We supply all field employees with PPE, including hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, protective masks, shoe booties, and latex gloves. These employees also utilize updated technology to reduce physical contact when demonstrating equipment, signing for services, etc. All employees should follow CDC and government guidelines for face coverings.
  • Field Personnel Practices: In addition to the PPE previously mentioned, our customer-facing employees sanitize their hands frequently, wear masks and gloves during their appointments, and limit in-person contact by practicing social distancing.
  • Social Distancing: To abide by social distancing guidelines, we spread out our teams across our office locations. Signage, floor decals, and limited capacity on elevators are also key to ensuring employees practice safe social distancing.
  • Healthy Hygiene Habits: We placed touch-free hand sanitizer stations throughout offices and added signage to remind employees of healthy hygiene habits, such as frequent hand washing, coughing into your sleeve, and avoiding close contact with anyone who has a fever or cough.
  • Deep Cleaning and Better Sanitation: We enhanced building sanitation practices by increasing the frequency and conducting daily bacterial testing on high-touch surfaces. We sanitize high-touch areas regularly to maintain the highest level of cleanliness throughout the building.
  • Work from Home: We implemented a temporary work from home policy for positions that can work remotely to help limit the possibility of exposure. We continue to provide teleworking policies and procedures when accommodations are needed.

CPI is ready when you need us.

We understand these are uncertain times, and security is perhaps even more important than ever. If you need support, our Customer Care team can be reached online or at 855-913-5209 and is ready to help 24/7.

What can you expect if CPI visits your home or business?

If you need a service appointment, would like to schedule an installation, or need a sales consultation, we are ready to serve you. We have taken extra precautions and remain committed to following comprehensive health protocols and local guidelines to protect our technicians and customers.

Before your appointment, we will contact you. If anyone in your home has been exposed to COVID-19, has any cold or flu-like symptoms, or has traveled in the past two weeks, we request that you reschedule your appointment to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

In addition to conducting health monitoring and daily temperature checks, we strictly enforce the same policy with all our employees. Employees are not permitted to report for work or enter any customers’ home or business until appropriately cleared if they or anyone in their household: do not feel well; have been exposed to COVID-19; have any illness symptoms; are currently awaiting test results; or are under quarantine orders by the CDC or a local health department.

Our field teams and customer-facing employees are equipped with proper personal protective equipment and will minimize interaction, maintain social distancing, and frequently sanitize hands.

CPI prioritizes our customers, employees, and communities.

As we continue to monitor this situation, we will be flexible and follow CDC and local guidance.

We have additional action plans ready to roll-out as needed. Our mission is to keep our customers, our employees and their families, and our communities safe. We will continue to serve you and do our part in that mission.
